Longer sales cycles and more costly development timelines have created hesitancy surrounding deep tech investing, however the specific solutions that deep tech companies bring to a small set of customers creates tremendous value for the few investors in the space.  A way to further diminish investing hesitancy is to distill deep tech into the process of applying science to a difficult problem and eventually a product or service.  Together, Wharton Aerospace’s Ellen Chang and Syndicate708’s Doug Hegebarth discuss the state of deep tech and agree on the benefits of having an “operator's perspective” when approaching deep tech investing and valuations.
